Trust Your Intuition

My body was telling me I needed to get out into nature to reconnect with my purpose, to ground myself, and to re-energize. Having not had coffee for almost a week, I treated myself to an Einstein’s french vanilla coffee with nutmeg and took it to a park on Lake St. Clair early Sunday morning. I was guided to a huge tree near the water with a bench under it and lots of shade from the already hot sun.
I relaxed on the bench observing the water, feeling the breeze, and connecting to this tree that called me to sit against it. Barefoot with my feet on the earth felt so energizing. However, I was being called to sit on the earth and put my back against the tree. As I circled the tree to sense where I was to sit, I saw a small marker describing the tree as a Quaking Aspen.
How interesting, a quaking tree. I felt like there was something big inside me quaking to get out that I could contain no longer. As I looked up into the tree, I noticed a huge branch growing perpendicular to the ground and then it shot up vertical. A voice in me told me that that was me playing in a flat plain, safe, and not shaking anything up. It said that I needed to be like the branch that shot vertical into the air. I needed to spike it, shake things up, and to ignite my flame into a huge bonfire. No more waiting or playing safe.
I had many insights as I sat under that tree. I contemplated some physical ailments that had come into my life over the past several months. They all pointed to me not speaking my truth at root level and not standing in my truth. Everything pointed to a shift in how I need to pursue my business. I came up with several topics for articles and several new business ideas. When I came home, I looked up the energy of the Quaking Aspen.
According to the Celtic Creation’s blog, the Quaking Aspen is known as the “Tree that Transcends Fear”. It has an ability to endure and conquer. It symbolizes joy, resurrection, and hope. It is used in ceremonies for success, passage and transformation, rebirth, agility in speech and language, protection and love. The Balm of Gilead buds can help mend a broken heart. All of this resonates with my Sizzzl mission. I was called to the tree that would center me and support me in the next phase of my business. I am going to start every morning with my back up against the quaking aspen. I need her wisdom, guidance, and support.
